Another suspended event for Chaminade-St. Francis

Chaminade and St. Francis are having problems completing their sporting events.
On Monday night, the lights went out with one out in the seventh inning of a baseball game in which Chaminade was beating St. Francis, 8-2, at Brookside Park. The game was suspended and will be resumed on Friday.
Then on Wednesday at St. Francis, lightning erupted, causing suspension of a track meet between the two schools. This time, St. Francis was leading.
“We’re ahead. We should win,” St. Francis Athletic Director Matt Luderer said jokingly.
It’s uncertain whether the track meet will be continued.
Based on recent events, count on Friday’s Chaminade-St. Francis baseball game being stopped by darkness, rain or locust.
