Baseball: Jake Baer, Chris Murphy receive top honors on All-City Division I team

Senior second baseman Jake Baer of El Camino Real has been selected the most valuable player in City Section Division I baseball. Senior pitcher Chris Murphy of Granada Hills was named the most outstanding pitcher.
Baer helped lead El Camino Real to the West Valley League championship and Division I title. Murphy was a dominant pitcher all season for the Highlanders.

In Division II, Carlos Vazquez of Eagle Rock was named MVP, with Joseph Padilla of Franklin most outstanding pitcher. In Division III, Eric Ponce was LACES was MVP, with Fernando Rivas of POLA most outstandng pitcher.
