Montebello Cantwell-Sacred Heart has suspended basketball coach George Zedan for one week and taken away two practices from the team after reporting a violation of Southern Section rules, Principal Robert Fraley confirmed on Tuesday.
Zedan held an illegal practice session on Sunday. He was not allowed to coach on Monday night when Cantwell-Sacred Heart lost to Bishop Montgomery and won’t be back until Monday.
“I chewed him out,” Fraley said.
Fraley said Zedan will remain coach.
