Boys’ basketball: Jonathan Davis is hired as coach at Dominguez

Former Compton basketball player Jonathan Davis has been hired to be the basketball coach at Compton Dominguez. He replaces Grady Johnson, who spent three years as coach. Johnson said he and the school agreed to part ways.
In other basketball news, 6-foot-9 center Jordan Dallas, who played last season at St. John Bosco, has enrolled at Long Beach Poly.
