Boys’ basketball: Windward wins in overtime over Viewpoint, 83-75

Nothing was easy when top teams from the Gold Coast League met, and Saturday’s Southern Section Division 5AA final between league rivals Windward and Viewpoint lived up to expectations.
Windward pulled out an 83-75 overtime victory to claim the championship.
Miye Oni scored 32 points for Windward and Christian Juzang added 18 points.
For a young Windward team, senior Wonder Smith scored 26 points, sophomore Jalen Harris had 23 and freshman Jules Bernard added 16 points and 10 rebounds, giving Coach Steve Smith a championship in his first season as head coach.
