Champions for Character winners are announced

The Southern Section announced on Monday the winners of its Champions for Character awards for athletes, coaches and administrators who embrace the principles of “Pursuing Victory Honor.”
Among the honorees is St. John Bosco junior football/track athlete Matthew Katnik, a top student and team leader.
A banquet will be held on Sept. 29 at The Queen Mary in Long Beach for all the honorees.
