Delay in Southern Section playoff grouping proposal

Southern Section Commissioner Rob Wigod has run into a “roadblock” in putting together a proposal that would place individual schools into playoff divisions instead of placing leagues into playoff divisions.
In a Commissioner’s message, Wigod said the delay is because the data is incomplete to rank schools. He’s asking schools to submit their regular season and playoff results from the fall and winter to help develop rankings by April 10.
He said the Executive Committee is still committed to putting forth a proposal for the 2016-2018 playoff groupings cylcle in time for the Southern Section Council meeting on Oct. 6, 2015.
