Football: Head coach openings reaches 30 and growing

There were 118 head coach openings in football for the 2015-16 season, according to Chris Fore, who kept track of the openings.

Now there’s 30, and at the same time last season, there were 28. That’s a sign of growing instability around Southern California teams.

Coaches at Long Beach Millikan, Long Beach Cabrillo, Burbank, Riverside King, Los Altos and Corona are the latest to offer resignations.
