“It’s a done deal.”
That was the comment of Loyola Coach Marvin Sanders on Wednesday referring to his running backs coach, Kennedy Polamalu, being hired to coach running backs at UCLA.
Polamalu used to be the running backs coach at USC until he was fired by Lane Kiffin. Loyola students raved about his coaching skills. And he was always known as a fantastic recruiter at USC.
Sanders, a former USC assistant, brought him to Loyola when he was hired. Polamalu’s son, Tre, is Loyola’s sophomore quarterback. And UCLA Coach Jim Mora’s son, Ryder, is a freshman football-lacrosse player at Loyola.
“I think it’s a great opportunity for him and his family and I get to keep having a quarterback,” Sanders said.
