Football: Serra’s Scott Altenberg has plenty to do during bye weekend

Gardena Serra has a bye this coming week, so Coach Scott Altenberg turned over his Sunday schedule to his wife, Amy.

“Dinner, movie, mall. We lived it up. No film breakdown. She was in charge. It was her weekend,” Altenberg said.

Players got the weekend off, too, with no film breakdown on Saturday after their 21-20 win over Crespi.

“I told them go to an ice bath and stay for 48 hours,” he said.

Serra is 2-1 in the Mission League.

“I can’t distinguish between Crespi, Bishop Amat and Notre Dame. They all seem like the same game to me,” he said.
