Football: Sierra Canyon will offer thanks to baseball team

It’s important to get the best athletes in school out for football, and that’s one reason Sierra Canyon is 14-0 going into a Open Division small schools bowl game on Saturday at San Marino.

There are 13 baseball players on the football team roster.

While the baseball team has been playing some winter games, the football players have been focused on football, and baseball Coach Rick Weber is happy for them. He believes there’s plenty of time left in January an February for the baseball players to prepare for the season ahead.
Among the football players is Christian Hernandez, who was 9-0 as a pitcher last season.
