In Texas, where high school football is king, the community of McKinney has passed a bond measure to pay for a $62.8 million, 12,000-seat high school football stadium.
It will surpass the $62.5 million stadium under construction in Katy, Texas.
The $220 million bond measure approved last weekend will fund the stadium and other school improvements.
The community is located near Dallas.
