Crespi coach seeks improvement
It’s year three of Troy Thomas’ return to Crespi as football coach, and all it takes is a visit to practice to understand the impact he makes.
The Celts were engaging in a one-on-one drill, defensive lineman vs. offensive lineman, and Thomas decided to halt the drill and address the players.
Listen to what he was trying to get across.
“I don’t care if you win or lose,” he said. “It’s about getting better.”
Teaching fundamentals and getting players to respond and listen to their messages is what’s so important in coaching during these first few weeks of August.
Thomas is a master at teaching his players life lessons through football.
