Football: Tough Southern Section matchups for Crenshaw and Narbonne
- Share via
It’s the final opportunity for Crenshaw and Narbonne to match up against Southern Section teams and represent the City Section. Both schools face tough challenges at home on Friday.
Crenshaw (2-2) will face St. John Bosco (3-1) on Time Warner Cable. Narbonne (1-3) will take on Los Alamitos (4-0).
Crenshaw has struggled against non-City Section opponents, losing to Long Beach Poly, 54-14, and Bakersfield, 42-12.
Narbonne has played well at times in losses to Poly, Alemany and Gardena Serra.
“We’ve had a good week and a half to work on a lot of things in practice,” Narbonne Coach Manuel Douglas said.
After this week, league play begins for Crenshaw and Narbonne, and both are favored to win their league titles.
