Soccer attendance still lags basketball

Soccer is the most popular sport around the world _ just not in the United States.
Last weekend, attendance was 18,278 at the Honda Center for six Southern Section basketball championship games.
For the Southern Section soccer finals, attendance was 1,301 and 2,292 at Corona on Friday and Saturday and 1,639 and 3,594 at Warren on Friday and Saturday.
