Soccer: Emile Shawa’s goal sends Loyola into Division I championship game

Emile Shawa’s goal in overtime lifted Loyola past Los Alamitos, 2-1, in a semifinal game of the Division I Southern California Regionals in soccer.
In Division II, Granada Hills advanced to the final with a 5-4 win over Santa Ana. Mariano Pantoja had two goals. In Division III, Pasadena defeated Canoga Park, 2-1. San Diego Mission Hills defeated Cathedral, 3-2, in overtime.
In Division IV, Valencia defeated Fremont, 2-1.
In girls’ Division I, Santa Margarita defeated Torrey Pines, 2-1. Tesoro defeated Taft, 4-0.
In Division II, Palos Verdes defeated El Camino Real, 3-1.
In Division IV, Moorpark defeated Strathmore, 3-1. La Mirada defeated Oxnard, 3-1.
