View Park Prep showed off a pair of individuals at Monday’s Coliseum League finals who figure to be major contenders to win City Section titles at next week’s track and field finals.
Nia Toliver, a junior, won the girls’ 100 in 12.20 and the 400 in 57.68. She scratched from the 200 but hopes to compete in that event, too, when the prelims are held on Thursday at Cerritos College.
Toliver is one of the top female rugby players in the nation. She aspires to attend Harvard or Princeton.
Bell won the long jump at 22-5 1/4, rallied to win the 400 in 49.36 and took the 200 in 22.39.
