History could be made on Tuesday night at Anaheim Servite when Huntington Beach’s volleyball team goes for a national-record 113th consecutive victory in a 6 o’clock match against the Friars.
The national record of 112 consecutive volleyball wins was set by Salem High in New Hampshire in 2009.
Huntington Beach last lost in a tournament match to San Clemente in 2013.
“It’s pretty surreal thinking how many great teams we’ve played over the last four seasons,” Coach Craig Pazanti said.
Huntington Beach has won three consecutive Southern Section Division 1 championships.
