Update: Sparks General Manager Penny Toler makes her debut as coach, after the team fired Carol Ross on Sunday. The Liberty won its last game before the All-Star break, 77-75 over Atlanta last Wednesday, but has won consecutive games just once this season. The Sparks beat the Liberty, 68-54, July 11 in New York, the first victory in a season-best three-game winning streak that ended with a July 17 loss to Washington in their last game before the break.
