Atlanta running back Michael Turner, who scored the first touchdown in the Falcons’ 27-21 victory over the Denver Broncos on Monday night, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and speeding in Atlanta just hours after the game.
Turner was clocked going 97 in a 65-mph zone, according to authorities.
Gwinnett County jail records show that the 30-year-old Turner was booked just after 5 a.m. ET Tuesday. He was released two hours later on $2,179 bond.
Turner scored Atlanta’s first touchdown on a one-yard run, the play set up by the first of three first-quarter interceptions the Falcons had of Peyton Manning passes.
Turner finished the game with 42 yards in 17 carries.
