UCLA AT STANFORD
When: 1 p.m. Where: Maples Pavilion.
On the air: TV: ESPN2; Radio: 570
Records: UCLA 18-7, 8-4; Cardinal 15-10, 6-6.
Update: The Pac-12 race is anyone’s to take, with six teams within two games of first-place Oregon. Stanford is not among that group, but the Cardinal may match up well with the Bruins. UCLA has made inconsistent big men Jordan Bachynski (Arizona State), Richard Solomon (California) and David Kravish (California) look like All-Americans. Stanford has a consistent big man, 6-foot-10 junior Dwight Powell, who is averaging 15.2 points and 8.3 rebounds. UCLA guard Larry Drew II had a sore Achilles’ tendon Thursday, something that was worked on during the game against California. Coach Ben Howland said Friday that Drew “was moving real good at our practice.”
