Andrew Goudelock signs a one-year deal to play in Russia

Lakers free agent guard Andrew Goudelock has found a new home, albeit one far away from the confines of Staples Center and Los Angeles.
According to Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News, Goudelock has signed a one-year deal to play in Russia with BC UNICS Kazan.
Goudelock was originally drafted by the Lakers in 2011 with the 46th overall pick. After a season in which he averaged 4.4 points a game in 40 appearances, Goudelock was cut before the end of training camp in 2012.
After Kobe Bryant tore his left Achilles’ tendon on April 12, the Lakers added the 6-foot-3 Goudelock for the last couple of games of the season. Once Jodie Meeks went down with a high-ankle sprain, Goudelock ended up the Lakers’ starter at shooting guard by default.
In a Lakers’ 120-89 loss to the San Antonio Spurs in Game 3, Goudelock scored 20 points in 41 minutes.
Playing for the Chicago Bulls’ summer league squad in Las Vegas, Goudelock averaged 19 points in five games, shooting 47.1% from the field and 52.2% from behind the arc.
