Steve Nash will not play Friday night against the Clippers.
Nash, who suffered a lower-leg contusion Wednesday against Portland, is listed as day to day.
Lakers Coach Mike Brown said that there’s no timeline for his return.
“He didn’t do anything this morning,” Brown said. “He didn’t do anything yesterday neither.”
Nash was injured in the second quarter in Wednesday night’s 116-106 loss. He attempted to come back at the start of the third quarter, but quickly retreated to the locker room and did not return to the court.
“They’ll give him treatment probably tonight and then we’ll re-evaluate tomorrow,” Brown said.
Backup point guard Steve Blake will start in Nash’s place.
Kobe Bryant, who is nursing a right foot injury that kept him out of practice and two exhibition games for a little more than a week, will play Friday.
