Clippers ready to finish regular season, get set for playoffs

With just two regular-season games left before the Clippers open the playoffs this weekend, Coach Doc Rivers has to weigh whether to rest players or let them play so they keep their rhythm.
The Clippers didn’t practice Sunday, so that gave them a day to rest before they went back to practice Monday.
They’re set to play the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night in their home season finale at Staples Center and then finish the regular season at Portland on Wednesday night.
“I don’t even know if you can stay sharp or not sharp. I don’t even know that,” Rivers said. “We want to stay healthy. But you have to practice hard and you’re going up against guys. It’s just a matter of hoping that they stay healthy.”
Danny Granger, who has a strained left hamstring, is the only Clipper who is not healthy.
The Clippers, seeded third in the Western Conference, are even pretty sure who they will face first in the playoffs: If everything stays the same, it will be the sixth-seeded Golden State Warriors.
The two teams finished tied 2-2 in the season series, and there is no love lost between them.
