Clippers are moving up in the West

Coach Doc Rivers insists to reporters that he doesn’t look at the NBA standings, even though there is a board inside the Clippers locker room that lists the standings for him to see, for his players to see, for everyone to see.
If Rivers were to glance at the standings, he would see that his team is climbing in the tough Western Conference.
The Clippers are the fourth-seeded team in the West, just three games behind conference-leading San Antonio.
The Clippers are only 2½ games behind the second-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder in the West and a half-game behind the third-seeded Houston Rockets.
And the Clippers are rolling, owning the NBA’s longest winning streak at seven consecutive games.
The Clippers play the Phoenix Suns at Staples Center on Monday night.
Phoenix is tied with the Memphis Grizzlies at 36-26, but the Suns are the ninth-ranked team, meaning they would be out of the playoffs if they started today.
