With one golf major in hand, Donald Trump looks for more

Now that Donald Trump has finally landed a major golf championship at one of his courses, it seems that he wants more.
The PGA of America announced on Thursday afternoon that Trump National in Bedminster, N.J., will host the 2022 PGA Championship.
“Having the PGA is a very, very big deal,” he told reporters. “So it’s very important to me.”
But the billionaire, whose holdings have expanded to include 17 courses worldwide, also talked about his deal to purchase Turnberry Resort in Scotland, which is in the rotation for the British Open. And he has his sights set on wooing the U.S. Open to Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point in New York.
“They are interested in that,” he said of the U.S. Golf Assn. “We’ll see what happens.”
In the meantime, Trump courses will host the U.S. Women’s Open and the Senior PGA Championship in 2017.
