Update: After losses in five of six games, the Trojans are in danger of falling under .500 for the first time since they dropped the season opener. The Beavers, meanwhile, are the surprise team of the Pac-12 and Coach Wayne Tinkle is an early candidate for coach of the year. Oregon State is 11-0 at Gill Coliseum this season. The program will honor Gary Payton for the 25th anniversary of his 58-point game against USC in 1990. His son, Gary Payton II, a junior guard, is dangerous on the other end of the floor. He is second in the nation in steals per game, with 3.1.
