USC defensive lineman Antwaun Woods wears jersey No. 99.
When asked Monday night to estimate how physically sound his injured left elbow felt, he responded, “99%.”
But Woods, a junior nose tackle, said he would be 100% by the Trojans’ Aug. 30 opener against Fresno State at the Coliseum.
Woods and defensive lineman Leonard Williams were sidelined last week because of injuries.
Williams has been dealing with shoulder issues. He participated in drills on Saturday but was held out of a scrimmage on Monday night at the Coliseum.
Woods practiced Sunday and played about 15 snaps Monday night.
“The plan was just to go every three, just to see how I feel and be smart,” he said. “I felt great.”
