Former USC cornerback Josh Shaw signs with the Cincinnati Bengals

Former USC cornerback Josh Shaw signed a contract with the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday, the team announced.
Details of the contract were not disclosed.
The Bengals selected Shaw in the fourth round of the NFL draft earlier this month. He was the first USC cornerback to be drafted since Kevin Thomas was picked in the third round in 2010.
Shaw, 6 feet and 201 pounds, is listed as one of eight cornerbacks on the Bengals’ roster, which includes veterans Leon Hall, Adam Jones, Brandon Ghee, Dre Kirkpatrick, Chris Lewis-Harris, Darqueze Dennard and second-year player Onterio McCalebb.
Shaw sat out 10 games during the 2014 season at USC after he was suspended for fabricating a story about how he suffered ankle injuries before the season opener.
He played in the final three games before he participated in the East-West Shrine game, Senior Bowl, the NFL scouting combine and USC’s pro day.
Shaw intercepted six passes and deflected 19 passes in 28 games at USC.
