Trojans in the NFL: Rey Maualuga agrees to contract with Bengals
- Share via
Despite missing four games last season because of a hamstring injury, linebacker Rey Maualuga was signed to a three-year contract extension with the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday.
“Rey is a physical force on the field and a great teammate in our locker room,” Bengals Coach Marvin Lewis said in a news release.
The Bengals selected Maualuga in the second round of the 2009 draft. In six seasons, he has deflected 16 passes, intercepted one and forced six fumbles.
Maualuga would have become a free agent next week.
