Trojans to open 2022 football season at home against Rice

USC will play host to Rice in the 2022 football season, USC announced Tuesday.
The Trojans are scheduled to play the Owls at the Coliseum on Sept. 3, 2022, in the first game between the schools since 1971.
USC has played Rice, a member of Conference USA, three times. The Trojans are 2-0-1 in the series.
USC is set to open the 2015 season on Sept. 5 against Arkansas State.
The Trojans are scheduled to start training camp Aug. 8.
