Your Scene: A surreal Great Barrier Reef

Clark Woodford of Los Angeles was about 60 miles out to sea above Australia’s Great Barrier Reef when he took this shot. “I love the view with the curvature of the Earth in the distance,” Woodford says. He and partner, Bob Read, were on a helicopter ride between Hamilton Island and Hardy Reef, off the mainland coast, on their way to a snorkeling run. The camera: a Nikon D40.
