Arizona: Helicopter to hop to the top of landmark butte

What would you do with 20 minutes atop a lofty sandstone butte above Lake Powell? Find out on a helicopter hop to the top of Tower Butte, a pinnacle more than 5,000 feet in elevation near Page, Ariz.
Papillon/Grand Canyon Scenic Group, which operates sightseeing flights over the Grand Canyon and other spots in the Southwest, will take folks by helicopter to the summit of the flat-topped butte starting in March. There’s no easier way to get to the high point of the remote formation that sits on Navajo Nation land just south of the Arizona-Utah border.
Helicopter rides fly east from Page over Antelope Canyon and Lake Powell on the way to the top where a guide briefs participants about the land and Navajo culture. The lake, Glen Canyon, Grand Staircase-Escalante and Vermilion Cliffs national monuments are among the 360-degree views in this red-rock area.
