WEEKEND TV : A Look Back at the GOP Convention
- Share via
The just-concluded Republican National Convention will provide much of the fodder for the weekend’s public affairs shows, with responses from the Democrats and a look ahead at the presidential campaign.
On Sunday at 4 p.m., KCET Channel 28 will air “You Don’t Have to Die, “ a profile of Jason Gaes, who at 6 was diagnosed with Burkitt’s lymphoma, a rare form of cancer.
Doctors thought he would die before his 7th birthday, but after four years of surgery, chemotherapy and radiation treatments, he beat the life-threatening illness.
Now a healthy 14-year-old, the show is based on his “My Book for Kids With Cancer.”
