LANCASTER : 2 Students Expelled Over Gun Incident

Two students at Antelope Valley High School in Lancaster have been expelled for a Feb. 2 incident in which one held a semiautomatic pistol to another student’s head and the other was later found in possession of the gun, school district officials said.

The board of trustees of the Antelope Valley Union High School District voted Wednesday night to expel the 16-year-old student who used the gun to threaten another youth, and the 17-year-old student who was later caught on campus with the gun in his car.

The 16-year-old already faces a March 24 sentencing in Juvenile Court that could result in his being confined until age 25.
