MISSION VIEJO : 8 School Principals to Change Positions

Eight elementary school principals in the Saddleback Valley Unified School District will be changing positions for the 1994-95 year, district officials announced last week.
Cal Burt, principal of Gates Elementary in Lake Forest, has been named principal of the new Robinson Ranch Elementary School, which is scheduled to open in September. Beginning next month, he will serve in an interim position as principal of Trabuco Elementary in Trabuco Canyon.
Jim Hamilton, the district’s personnel services director, will take over as principal at Gates Elementary.
Jeff Herdman at Trabuco Mesa Elementary in Rancho Santa Margarita and Chuck Prince at De Portola Elementary in Mission Viejo will swap their principal posts.
David Whitcher, principal at Olivewood Elementary in Lake Forest, will take the head position at Linda Vista Elementary in Mission Viejo, replacing principal Kathy Dick, who has been assigned to Aliso Elementary in Lake Forest.
Aliso’s principal, Mike Delaney, will move to Del Cerro Elementary and La Tierra Elementary in Mission Viejo, replacing principal Suzanne Westmoreland, who is relocating to Olivewood Elementary.
District officials also announced that in September, 1995, Carole McLelland-Wong, principal of Del Lago Elementary in Mission Viejo, will become principal of the school now under construction in Foothill Ranch, which is scheduled to open in September of that year.
