Sixth-graders at Las Palmas Elementary School have put out their first edition of the Las Palmas Times, written exclusively by and for students.
The volunteer staff includes 53 of the school’s 60 sixth-grade students, Principal Doug Kramer said.
The newspaper is a cooperative project involving the school, a community newspaper, a printing company and Saddleback College’s journalism department.
