The Boys & Girls Club of Camarillo needs volunteers for tutoring and a reading program.
“Power Readers,” a class that helps children in first through sixth grades with reading skills, starts Tuesday. Volunteers are needed on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 to 4:30 p.m.
One-on-one tutoring in all subjects for children ages 6 through 18 will begin the first week in October, said club spokesman Jack Carlson.
Volunteers are needed to tutor one or two hours a week during the 14-week program.
Applications for volunteering are available at the club at 1500 Temple Ave. or by calling 482-8113. The programs are free for children and are offered after school and during vacations.
