Deal: Paris is oh-so affordable with this airfare-hotel price of $1,000

Adventure Vacations puts Paris within reach, especially if you travel before the end of March.

The La Jolla-based travel company offers a four-night trip to the French capital that covers airfare and hotel for $1,000. It’s a good value — and a nice time of year to go.

The deal: The price is a good one and offered throughout the year. Starting at $1,021 per person, including taxes, you receive:

• round-trip airfare from Los Angeles to Paris on Air France;
• four nights at the Tim Hotel Gare de l’Est with private bath;
• daily breakfast; and
• maps of Paris as well as shopping discount cards and travel tips.

When: You can book this trip anytime, but prices are lowest before March 31.

Tested: As a comparison, I checked Kayak for L.A.-Paris nonstop airfares in March (which is what’s included in this package). The airfare alone starts at $1,300 per person.

One other thing: Nothing says you have to spend only four nights in Paris. You can extend your stay and build on the low-priced four-day deal.
